This values-based and market leading organisation has a unique opportunity to join as an Assistant Category Manager to be based in their Global Head Office in Hampshire. Undergoing a sizeable transformation of the Procurement team, they are aiming to deliver a team that works collaboratively with the business and builds category plans aligned to its needs, focusing on what is important. The aim of this role is to accelerate the transformation programme providing critical support to the Category Management team which will see you directly liaising with senior stakeholders on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will be a forward thinker and able to operate at pace in a dynamic environment. You must be fluent and comfortable with numbers and data due to the high level of ambiguity around the category spend analytics. The role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further progress their analytical experience into more of a category management approach to procurement. Ideally, you will have some level of Procurement experience but this is not critical, a good grasp of data analytics is more important to this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analysis of data using SAP/BI and Excel
• SAP freight transactions management
• Management of all SAP routes and core data fields
• Control of data input for freight management
• Reconcile invoices against agreed supplier purchase orders
• Manage period freight, ABF and all other reporting
• Report output based on sales and freight cost forecasts
• Update models for annual and quarterly budgets

Skills and Achievements:

• Advanced SAP skills in International freight or supply chains
• Demonstrated numeric, analytical and problem solving ability
• Self-starter, independent worker who displays initiative
• International customer service skills
• High level of organisation and time management skills
