This renowned FTSE 100 organisation is undergoing a period of change as the business sets impressive growth targets for the upcoming year. In line with this period of growth, the Procurement team has a number of openings as it bolsters its influence business wide.

This global brand is currently looking for a Buyer to join on a 12 month fixed term basis to operate within the Consumables & Components spend category. Reporting to a senior Buyer and Procurement Manager, this opportunity will see you working tactically to source & purchase a variety of components & consumable goods, operating within a spend provision of up to £5million.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering sourcing/purchasing results and demonstrating best practice across the wider business. You will need to be able to thrive in a dynamic fast moving business environment and have the interpersonal skills to match.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full end to end purchasing process from sourcing against a definition of need through to confirmation of delivery and supplier payment.
• Effectively manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Prepare, issue and evaluate tenders and other procurement documentation.
• Work with other Supply Chain staff and operational / product teams to support and implement the agreed sourcing strategies across selected categories, ensuring quality, price and supply logistics meet business needs.
• Through negotiation and good procurement practice achieve cost and efficiency savings to exceed the departmental targets.

Key skills required:

• Effective communicator and negotiator
• Experience in procuring/strategic sourcing goods & services, ideally within a blue chip organisation.
• Experience in category management, that end-to-end procurement process.
• Ability to lead and motivate, ideally you will have experience in managing another person/people
• Can do attitude with the willingness to progress and further your career
