The Role

To further support this continued growth & transformation, this client is now looking for additional talent to join the team.  There are opportunities available for high-pedigree, detail oriented procurement professionals with excellent knowledge and experience of Tender Processes, Public Sector regulations/compliance, CIPS Accreditation (or working towards), and the ability to work as part of a team towards a long-term strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the Procurement team by providing robust and effective procurement advice, guidance and support to custoners, suppliers and managers
  • Adhere at all times to internal and external requirements and regulations
  • Undertake Procurement Procedures, Letting Contracts, prepare Procurement Strategies, implement a wide range of supply, service, and procurement arrangements.
  • Take responsibility for various assigned spend categories (Category Management) of spend
  • Create and lead cross-functional sourcing teams to deliver significant demonstrable cost savings in conjunction with the senior category manager.

The Person:

  • Previous experience/exposure to Procurement & Sourcing activity, ideally in a Public Sector/OJEU Compliance environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven experience of planning and progressing work activities within professional or organisational policies and guidelines.
  • Proven success in developing and delivering procurement strategies to deliver maximum value for money.
