The scenario
Rupert has supported this high profile insurance business a number of times over the last few years, but most notably on two occasions:

  1. In supporting the newly appointed Head of Sourcing to help centralise his procurement team and to set up a category management structure
  2. Once the sourcing function had matured, to assist the Head of Sourcing with the newly inherited capability for the management of Technology Suppliers

Both projects required a deep understanding of the organisation and the values that drive recruitment within the business. Additionally, and due to the nuances of the location, a wide trawl of the market was needed to attract specific category skills.
